Kids are fun and absolutely adorable, however, we all know what little rascals they can be at times. We have some things in place in our homeschool and in our home life that helps to keep our kids accountable for their actions and choices each day. Those are great! This reward chart though, I made with a bit of a different idea in mind. Raise your hand if you hate feeling like all that comes out of your mouth at times are things like, “NO!”, “Stop that!” “What are you doing?”. I know, it’s the worst. Feeling like a nag, when all you want to do is have another awesome day with the cutest people in the world, your kids, isn’t what we had in mind when we became moms.
Real life is tough so I wanted to give you this free printable for an excuse to change the type of words you speak to your kids more often. I hope it helps you find yourself saying things like, “Wow that was really kind of you!” “Good choice honey!” or “I am so proud of you!”. Those are the words we like saying and our kids love to hear us say.
How To Use Good Behavior Reward Charts and Punch Cards
These good behavior reward charts and punch cards were designed with those positive words in mind. The idea is when you catch your little munchkin making a good choice, you say something positive, move their little bee-havior chart bee up a level on the beehive, and when he/she reaches the top you give them a punch in their punch cards.
Once your kiddo has filled up an entire punch card, they are rewarded however you see fit. You can take this pace slow or fast and reward big or small. The most important thing is that you will be rewarding positive behavior with positive words and actions!
How To Start Using the Good Behavior Chart and Punch Cards:
- Print my free printable good behavior chart and punch cards (See end of post)
- Using a paper cutter, cut out the chart (Pin it to a bulletin board)
- Next cut out the punch cards
- Cut out the Bees
- Using double sided sticky tape, tape the bees onto clothes pins
