Easter eggs are so fun to get creative with! Though I am always a fan of the good old-fashioned Easter egg dyeing kit it is fun to explore new ways to decorate them with your kids.
I think our new favorite way to decorate Easter eggs is with puffy paint! I don’t know about you, but when I was a kid puffy paint was pretty cool! My kids love it too!
How To Decorate Easter Eggs Using Puffy Paint:
What You Need:
- Hard boiled eggs
- Puffy paint in a variety of colors
- Cardboard or thick paper
- Stapler or tape
What You Do:
- Make Hard Boiled Eggs.
- Make egg stands for drying your eggs using a piece of cardboard or thick paper. Just make a small circle that will allow the egg to stand on it but one that is not so large that it takes up much space at the base of the egg. Basically make a narrow stand to hold your eggs white they dry.
- After your eggs are cool and dry place your eggs on their stands and begin using the puffy paint to decorate them.
We let ours dry overnight. If you want to decorate the base of the egg, flip the egg over and very carefully place the egg back in the stand Just make sure your puffy paint is completely dry or it will leave dents in your paint or even smear it.
These Puffy Paint Easter Eggs look so cool once dry and feel really fun to the touch! Enjoy!
